About us
We are a versatile project group of bachelor year 1 students, that has been designing a project withing the "Soft Materials" squad. We are driven by curiosity and a shared passion for material exploration, we are committed to diving into the opportunities of soft materials and their applications. Our team is excited to work on the challenge of creating innovative products that push the boundaries of conventional design with soft materials.
All of us started this project being intruiged by the process of material creation and discovering ways to utilize them.
Our project began with a clear objective: to develop an innovative product utilizing soft materials. Intrigued by modular design and stretchable concepts, we set out to explore their potential. While our initial goal revolved around creating universally fitting footwear, our project evolved as we discovered the potential of stretchable materials within shoes.
Our project
Our project is all about making shoes more comfortable and flexible. We've developed a special fabric that stretches, thanks to elastic thread woven into it. This unique fabric ensures a nicer fit and allows your feet to move freely. Next to this, we're also exploring the exciting possibilities of 3D printed soles for our shoes. Research has partly been done to look into this technology and discover the different possibilities.
